‘Undermine’ will examine and showcase countercultural perspectives of Hill End through oral and textual histories to undermine popular mythologies circulating around this important location of cultural practice. A reaction to the myths and stereotypes generated about Hill End in art historical social and cultural terms the exhibition will subvert the landscape tradition it inspires past and present.
